Meet Your GuideCaptain Eric Perez

Captain Eric Perez holding a redfish while guiding a fly fishing trip on the Mosquito Lagoon.

Captain Eric Perez is a Florida native who has spent more than 45 years fishing the inshore waters of Central and South Florida, including the last 25 years exploring the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. What began as a lifelong passion for shallow water fishing eventually grew into a guide service built around patience, instruction and helping anglers experience one of Florida’s most unique fisheries.

Whether you’re an experienced fly angler or making your very first cast, Eric believes every trip should be tailored to the angler and the conditions. His full-day approach allows the flexibility to slow down, adjust tactics and focus on creating quality opportunities instead of watching the clock.

Eric has earned success as both a guide and tournament angler in fly fishing and light-tackle competitions, but his greatest reward isn’t measured by trophies. It’s watching someone catch their first redfish, their first fish on a fly rod, or their first saltwater fish.

When he’s not spending time with his family, you’ll most likely find Eric standing on the poling platform of his Hell’s Bay skiff, quietly pushing across a shallow flat in search of the next opportunity.
